A Poem about Premature Ejaculation
As well as a Hypnotherapist and Coach, I am also a poet. Much of my poetry is about the human journey, the wild river or emotions, and how to embrace all of ourselves, even the parts we prefer to remain hidden.
It may sound strange a woman has written a poem about premature ejaculation. It is not my story, yet the words came to me one day. Perhaps because I have worked with hundreds of men in London and around the world who experience PE.
This is their story, and perhaps yours as well. Perhaps this poem will give you hope and courage. You are not alone in this. Many men experienced the same fears and worries as you have. They have gone through the sexual solutions last longer programme. Maybe they have paved the way for you.
The fears that hold me back
I have a secret
that not many people know
it’s the elephant in the room
filled with anxiety fear,
shame and embarrassment
I want to last longer in bed
but my mind takes over
reminding me of all the times
I ejaculated too soon
the disappointment on my partner’s face
is etched into my heart
The voice of my mind
tells my body
that it is going to fail
the sensitivity increases
and the arousal turns into excitement
which I cannot control
The flood gates have opened
there is no turning back
I have lost control
if only I could control this fear
My sexual identity
becomes smaller
I feel less than a man
my confidence is no more
What can I do to last longer in bed?
a voice from within answered
you created this
so you can unlearn
and create a new response
by retraining your mind, body and penis
learn to accept the fear and anxiety
and allow space for something new to come through.
