Male sexual anxiety solutions

Is anxiety about your performance in bed killing your sex life? Do you worry you can’t get an erection or you will ejaculate too quickly?

You begin to doubt yourself, fear you will fail, and worry about your performance. This pattern has a negative impact on your sex life.

It’s overwhelming when you want to have sex with your partner but you experience anxiety. Perhaps overthinking is the trigger. Maybe you worry you can’t please your partner. Or is it because it has happened for years you do not know any other way.

When it happens you feel frustrated, and worry you have disappointed your partner. You may try to avoid sex which leads to arguments or become too focussed on your performance that you ignore your partner.

But nothing seems to help. You begin to lose hope and worry you be stuck with sexual anxiety.

Just imagine this.

You are becoming intimate with your sexual partner. Then you start to overthink things. Your heart rate increases. You begin to enter the fight or flight stage of fear. This leads to anxious thoughts. What if I can’t perform? Will I ejaculate too quickly? Can I get an erection? Then your anxiety increases even more.

At sexual solutions, I call this the sexual performance cycle. If you have sexual anxiety, most times you have sexual intercourse, you will follow this anxiety pattern.

Your sexual performance cycle has a huge impact on your sex life, and how you feel about yourself.

When you are experiencing sexual anxiety, it takes over your mind and body. As a result, it’s challenging to be connected and present to your partner.

Performance anxiety can also lead to erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation. It’s important to always speak to your doctor to rule out any medical condition.

Mind and Body Connection and Sex for men

When we discuss male sexual anxiety solutions, it’s essential we also talk about mind and body connection. The mind and body connection is an important part of sex.

Imagine there is a direct line of communication that flows from your mind into your genital area.

Any anxious thoughts you have are transmitted into the penis. For example, I can’t get an erection, or I am going to fail. Your penis responds to this communication by either not getting an erection or failing at sex.

The way your mind and body connects, and communicates, is established from previous negative sexual experiences and performance anxiety.

Anxiety about your performance affects your relationships and your own mental and emotional wellbeing.

The good news is you can change this communication and create a healthy sexual mind and body connection.
